El 5 de agosto de 2007 se celebró la XXXI versión de la maratón Internacional  ciudad de Panamá. El ganador absoluto fue el Cubano Henry Jaén con un tiempo de 2:29:33, segundo y tercer lugar correspondió a los hermanos Juan Carlos Cardona y José David Cardona con tiempos de 2:30:32 y 2:31:22 respectivamente mientras que por Panamá el primer lugar fue para el legendario Simón Alvarado con un tiempo de 2:47:29 y el segundo lugar fue para el gran Fernando Blanco con un tiempo de 2:47:33. La maratón fue organizada por el club Corredores del Istmo bajo el patrocinio de la alcaldía de Panamá y Adidas

 

On August 5, 2007, held the XXXI version of the marathon International Panama City. The absolute winner was the Cuban Jaen Henry with a time of 2:29:33, second and third place, the brothers Juan Carlos Cardona and Jose David Cardona with times of 2:30:32 and 2:31:22 respectively while Panama by the first place was for the legendary Simon Alvarado with a time of 2:47:29 and the second was for the great Fernando Blanco with a time of 2:47:33.
