Con una arquitectura colonial y motivos históricos el casco viejo de Panamá representa uno de los sitios turísticos más importantes del país. Sus estrechas calles de ladrillo adornadas de hermosos balcones hacen recordar a los cientos de miles de turistas que se encuentran en nuestro país la Panamá del ayer aquella Panamá de principios del siglo XX en donde el ferrocarril y el comienzo de la construcción  de nuestro actual y mayor recurso el canal interoceánico  era la mayor tónica de ese entones.
La Plaza Catedral con su respectiva iglesia hacen de este paseo un inicio formidable ya que el mismo se compone de visitas a la plaza de Francia, las bóvedas, el paseo de Esteban Huertas, el teatro Nacional, la plaza de Simón Bolívar, la Presidencia de la Republica, el museo del Canal, el arco chato, el altar de oro entre otras atracciones.
